The Jackson County Emergency Medical Service (JCEMS) is a modern, advanced life support Emergency Medical Service located in Jackson County, Ohio. 

JCEMS operates from three stations located in the City of Jackson, City of Wellston, and the Village of Oak Hill.

The mission of JCEMS is to provide a quality environment and a secure and superior quality of life through the provision of public education, and emergency medical services to those who live, visit, work, or invest in Jackson County. JCEMS accomplishes its mission through prevention, education, medical services, and other related emergency and non-emergency activities. 

JCEMS staff actively participate in our county’s civil and social fabric, serve as role models, and strive to effectively and efficiently utilize all of the necessary resources at their command to provide a product deemed excellent by our citizens.

Jackson County Emergency Services operates as a department of Jackson County, Ohio Government. Within this agency, three interrelated departments function to provide essential emergency services to citizens and visitors: Emergency Medical Services ; Enhanced 911 EMS Communications Center; and EMS Training Department. 

This agency is lead by one Emergency Medical Services director who oversees operations, develops long range plans, budgets expenditures, and coordinates the diverse activities of all divisions.

The emergency medical staff is available 24 x 7 x 365 to serve every medical emergency in Jackson County.
